Last War Glossary

Every acronym, slang term and in-game label that turns up in alliance chat, R4/R5 messages and across this site. We grouped them so you can scan for what you need.

Basics

Power

Overall strength score that aggregates buildings, troops, hero power, research and equipment into one number. Usually the most-cited single metric.

THP / Hero Power

Total Hero Power — the sum of every hero on your roster weighted by level, stars and equipment. Reflects roster investment specifically.

Kills

Cumulative enemy units eliminated across all PvE and PvP encounters. Only grows. The all-time number is shown on the in-game ranking screen.

Base

Your fixed coordinates on the world map. Other players see your base, may scout it, may attack it (shields permitting).

HQ (Headquarters)

The main building. HQ level gates almost every other building's level and is the single best proxy for how far a player has progressed.

Shield

An item that prevents attacks on your base for a fixed time (8h, 24h, 3d). Shields are critical before AFK periods or major events.

March

A squad you send out to attack, gather, scout or join a rally. Most accounts can have 4–6 marches simultaneously, depending on research.

Alliance & ranks

R5

Alliance leader. The single highest-ranking member, with full control over invites, ranks and policy.

R4

Officer rank. Can invite, kick and promote up to R3. Most alliance work (diplomacy, scout coordination, donation review) happens at the R4 layer.

Donations

Alliance tech contributions. Each member donates resources to advance alliance-wide research. Required daily by most active alliances.

Help

Free speedups members can give each other on building or research timers. Alliances usually expect every member to give help several times a day.

Stronghold

A type of map objective used in several seasons. Holding one grants region-wide buffs to the occupying alliance. Some seasons (Season 6) replace Strongholds with a different system (Fishing Grounds); for current-season specifics see cpt-hedge.com.

Throne

A high-profile season objective in some seasons that crowns the controlling alliance for the duration. Exact rules and presence vary between seasons.

Faction

Season 6 introduced a faction system (Deepwood / Wetland, plus a neutral central area). Alliances align with a faction at the start of the season and that alignment shapes territory and combat for the whole season.

Fishing Grounds

Season 6 alliance objective that replaces Strongholds. Controlled grounds let an alliance and its faction fish for catches donated to Alliance Skills and Faction Technology.

Combat & PvP

Rally

A coordinated attack started by one player; teammates join over a short window. Used for Dom Walkers, Goldens, Strongholds and player base sieges.

Scout

Sending a single low-cost march to view a target's defences before attacking. Returns detailed reports including troop counts and hero loadouts.

SvS (Server vs Server)

Weekly event where two servers (or cross-server pools) compete on a points board. Kills and Stronghold occupations both score.

KvK

Kingdom vs Kingdom — the larger, multi-server version of SvS that runs across an entire Season's cross-server pool.

Doom Walker

Seasonal world boss that typically requires a coordinated rally. First kill of each Doom Walker gives bonus seasonal resources.

Doom Elite

High-level enemy unit unlocked across seasons. Beating higher-level Doom Elites requires sufficient Virus Resistance in seasons that use that mechanic. First kill awards bonus resources.

Golden Zombie

A high-value PvE target that drops large resource rewards. Common across seasons, though exact spawn and reward rules differ between seasons.

Events & seasons

Season

A 2–3 month meta cycle that introduces new mechanics, a fresh map and a new hero. Season 5 is current.

War Merit

Season 6's personal contribution score. Activities — kills, captures, donations, rankings — earn War Merit, which advances your personal Tier for stipends and stat bonuses.

Frontline Advance

Recurring multi-stage event where troops push through increasing-difficulty stages in one sitting. Known in Portuguese as Avanço Linha de Frente.

Merge

Two or more low-population servers are joined permanently. Affects rankings (new positions reshuffle), strongholds and alliance composition.

Economy & resources

Coleta (Gathering)

Sending a march to a resource tile to harvest. Resource type and tile level determine yield and timer.

Pesquisa (Research)

Long-running upgrades that boost combat stats, economy or alliance perks. Some tiers take days.

Gold Bricks

Last War's premium in-game currency, used to buy items, season passes and weekly passes. The official Last War ID program also distributes free Gold Bricks for eligible accounts.

Flint

Crafting resource used for late-game gear. Earned mostly from world bosses and Season events.

Vigor / Stamina

The action point each PvE attack consumes. Regenerates over time; items refill it. Stamina cap limits how much grinding you can do in a sitting.

VIP / SVIP

Two parallel progression tracks bought with in-app currency. SVIP is the deeper-investment track and unlocks heavy hero / gear bonuses.
